Ouzoud Waterfull

It is the most visited site of the region. In the vicinity, green valleys, mills, orchards and a superb circuit of the gorges of the El Abid River (in Arabic, “Slaves’ River” ) are found. Many local and national associations lead projects to protect and preserve the site.

Ouarzazate & Ait Ben Haddou

Aït Benhaddou is an ighrem (fortified village in English) (ksar in Arabic), along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. Ourzazate, the door to the sahara, is famous for it’s cinema studio where many international films are shot.

Essaouira Mogador

Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, is a city in the western Moroccan economic region of Marrakesh-Safi, on the Atlantic coast. The modern name means “the little rampart”, a reference to the fortress walls that still enclose part of the city. An extremly charming port city, Essaouira is famously known for housing Jimi Hendrix in the late 1960’s and the present day hosting an increasingly popular music festival.

Imlil is a village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is a good starting point for a trekking holiday or for climbing Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa (4167m).

Ourika Excursion

The Ourika Valley is about 60km by road from Marrakech in Morrocco. Situated in the foothills of the High Atlas, it contains a number of Berber villages, female co-operatives manufacturing Argan oil and a set of waterfalls near the village of Ourika itself.
